According to a Zillow study, bathrooms are one of 2022’s top renovation projects.

While kitchens are a major factor in upping a home’s resale value, don’t overlook the bathroom. Whether you are hoping to infuse more personality into your home, upgrade out-of-date features, or play around with a new look, BOXI by Semihandmade has a range of cost-friendly, chic, and sustainable cabinets to fit the bill. Ready to get BOXI? Hear from designers Ashley Beaumier and Anne Sage on why BOXI was right for them.

BOXI, Three Ways

This Denver home, designed by Ashley Beaumier and photographed by Nate Polta, is a prime example of BOXI’s utility. The bathrooms, which feature Mushroom Slab and Peppercorn Edge, are sleek and modern, while offering welcomed juxtaposition. The home, which was once “half demoed and somewhat abandoned after a buyer’s plan to renovate fell short,” was the perfect canvas, says Beaumier. With a  very tight timeline, BOXI’s lead time was not only appealing, but Beaumier and her partners, Kassidy Benson of Living Room Denver and Josh Scahffer of Rog & Wilco, knew the “profiles and finishes they offered were right for the home,” says the designer.

Peppercorn Edge cabinets are used in both the kitchen and powder bathroom for an edgy, bold look, while Mushroom Slab in the guest and primary bathrooms has a lighter feel. Overall, BOXI’s quick, straight-forward quoting process and equally appealing lead time and installation process made it the perfect choice.

Old and New Collide

This Los Angeles bathroom is pretty in pink thanks to BOXI’s Oat Slab cabinets, Fireclay tile,  brass Rejuvenation hardware, and Art Deco-style sconces. Designer Anne Sage worked with the homeowner, a historic preservationist, to respectfully remodel the 1920s Tudor home.

The original dual archways are now filled with pink and mauve tile, colors trending both then and now, while a floating vanity featuring BOXI cabinets, provides a sense of airiness, as well as plenty of storage. “It felt like a really great way to bring in that more modern touch,” Sage says.

At Home in Malibu

Architect Angela Hosny, who is currently a senior project manager at Gucci, used BOXI by Semihandmade Salt Shaker cabinets in this oceanside home’s kitchen and bathroom. While Shaker fronts may conjure ideas of more traditional silhouettes, the BOXI cabinets anchors this property’s main spaces, acting as a backdrop for pops of color, while supplying both storage and charm. What else would you expect from someone so fashionable?
