Walnut

Walnut, a timeless, mid-century inspired front, features real, one-of-a-kind sequenced wooden fronts. “You’re seeing basically this one-of-a-kind, once-living thing playing out across 10, 20, 30 cabinets. Things like burl or knots or even the newer sapwood add this incredible character,” says Semihandmade Founder John McDonald. Walnut fronts are available for IKEA Sektion, Akurum, and Godmorgon bases and are sequenced either vertically or horizontally. 

Tahoe

Semihandmade’s Impression line includes six textured melamine doors that look like real wood but are low maintenance and available at a lower cost. Tahoe, a customer favorite, has consistent color and vertical graining. Designer Claire Thomas opted for Tahoe, one which she feels was a no-brainer, for a Southwestern-inspired Joshua Tree rental.

Cove

Chris and Julia Marcum, who are known for sharing off renovations on Instagram and on their blog, partnered with Semihandmade for their own line of CLJ fronts. The rustic collection, which includes three wood-like options, is now available in both Shaker and Slab styles. Cove, a great pick for modern or traditional kitchens, is compatible with IKEA’s Sektion system and is a classic and durable door for any refresh.

Sonoma

Homeowner and budding designer Sarah Segura went for a two-tone moment in her Portland kitchen. She purchased the 1980s ranch-style home in 2017 and knew the u-shaped, claustrophobic kitchen would need an update. She worked with Brave Element, a Pacific Northwest preferred Semihandmade installer, and went for a mix of SSS White Quartedrline and Impression Sonoma fronts. Sonoma, a slightly darker hue than Tahoe, is a great fit for a range of kitchen styles. 

Beach

The lightest of the Impression collection doors, Beach complements light, airy designs. For a Southern California ktichen renovation, designer Amber Lewis of Amber Interiors kept things cool with Beach slab-style fronts and the now-discontinued Supermatte Clay Shaker.
