Great in Green

No surprises here. Green will continue to be hailed as a neutral, and Krylon has selected Spanish Moss, a moody, deep hue as its 2023 Color of the Year. If you are leaning for a timeless, traditional tone, try a lighter green or a grey-green. Bit of Blush

Both Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams chose warm, feminine colors to kick off the new year. Raspberry Blush, a vibrant coral pink, and Redend Point, a beige-blush with a hint of mauve, are more versatile than one may think. The charismatic and bold Raspberry Blush pairs well with the other hues in the brand’s Color Trends 2023 palette like the yellow-toned Savannah Green, blue-tinged North Sea Green, or New Age, a cool grey. Use Redent Point as an all-over kitchen cabinet paint for a a neutral-leaning aesthetic or desert-inspired look. 

A Blank Canvas

Pair Blank Canvas, a creamy off-white, with grey, blue, green, blush, or another neutral. The Color of the Year

Instead of picking a a single color to magnify the coming year’s trends, Backdrop poked fun at the annual tradition through a collaboration with designer retailer Coming Soon New York. The color, named Color of the Year, is a yellow-orange, much like a no. 2 pencil or bowl of macaroni and cheese. While the color may not be for everyone, Backdrop and Coming Soon want to encourage self expression and feel that paint is the most accessible way to personalize a space.
