How It Works

IKD offers different design packages depending on the type of room you are designing: Kitchen, Laundry Room, Mudroom, Closet, Home Office, and Bathroom are all on the menu! After you’ve selected the type of space, certified IKD designers use eight key criteria to produce high-resolution, easy-to-understand design plans using professional design software. They kick off the process with an online design questionnaire to better understand your priorities and the structural nuances of your space. Share photos and inspiration with the team, talk storage, appliances, lighting design, and more!

Once you’ve relayed all your mood boards and measurements, they handle it from there. At the end of the design process with IKD’s expert team, you receive full-color, high-resolution renderings of your kitchen, elevation plans, floor plans, and both IKEA and Semihandmade buying guides. Better yet, the Inspired Design team delivers your first iteration of plans just 3 days after submitting your measurements, mood boards, and reference materials. 

IKD and BOXI by Semihandmade

Semihandmade employees and customers have had such positive experiences working with IKD over the years, that we made them a preferred design service for BOXI by Semihandmade, our new line of American-assembled cabinets! But it’s important to note that the BOXI + IKD process is slightly different from the Semihandmade + IKD one. For starters, BOXI is more customizable and comes pre-assembled. We’re talking doors, fronts, cabs, and hardware—no IKEA plans or planner in sight.

For just $199, the Inspired Kitchen Design team works with any photos and measurements of your kitchen, bathroom, or whichever room you provide to create a plan for your shiny new BOXI space. They also create your BOXI order and, best of all, your $199 will be credited back towards your final BOXI order price!
